The Dignity Fund Coalition

The Dignity Fund Coalition usually meets the 4th Wednesday of every month at 2:30 pm. The Coalition is a cross-section of community leaders, service providers and representatives from the senior, disability, veterans, LGBTQ community. Contact us for more information. In selected months, the Coalition also co-hosts the Service Provider Working Group.

While more information about budgets will be coming as the new mayor sets his policies, we will share current updates and begin planning for education and advocacy efforts with the Mayor's office and Board of Supervisors.

The Dignity Fund Coalition and the Coalition of Agencies Serving the Elderly (CASE:) are hosting the current Service Provider Working Group Meeting - the next meeting will be Monday, March 9, 3:00 to 5:00 at the CASE regular meeting time.

Join staff from the Department of Disability and Aging Services (DAS) to for a presentation the outcome of the current Dignity Fund Community Needs Assessment results. Learn more about the strengths, opportunities, challeges and gaps it reveals, both for service providers and the wider community of leaders and policymakers.

April 1, 9:30 on SFGov - Approval of the Dignity Fund Community Needs Assessment

“The Dignity Fund Oversight and Advisory Committee (OAC) monitors and participates in the administration of the Dignity Fund and takes steps to ensure that it is administered in a manner accountable to the community. The Dignity Fund is a revenue stream administered by the Department of Disability and Aging Services (DAS) to help older adults (60+ years old) and adults with disabilities (18+ years old) secure and utilize the services and support necessary to age with dignity in their own homes and communities. This body and the DAS Advisory Council are begin merged into a new body. Learn more here about the path ahead here.

The Dignity Fund OAC meets several times a year, generally on the third Monday of the month from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. The Committee meets at 1650 Mission Street, 5th Floor (between Duboce Street and South Van Ness Avenue)

The third full Community Needs Assessment cycle has just been completed. An initial summary of highlights was presented at the last OAC meeting and can be found here
