Reform of City Commissions

Two ballot measures qualified for the November ballot. The Dignity Fund took a position to oppose Proposition D and to support Propositions E and G.

DF Opposed: Proposition D, initiated by Together SF, was an effort to abolish the Dignity Fund Oversight and Advisory Board along with a large number of other important public bodies. Proposition D did not pass.

DF Supported: Proposition E, initiated by Supervisor Aaron Peskin and a coalition of small businesses and organizations, addressed the issue with a more measured, transparent process. PropositionE passed.

DF Supported: Proposition G, to Fund Rental Subsidies for Affordable Housing Developments Serving Low Income Seniors, Families, and Persons with Disabilities. Proposition G passed.
